The Right Things To Say

(75th day, 290 more days to go)…He said!

When I was with my daughter’s father, I have to admit that I was very naive.  I believed a lot of what he told me…until I opened my eyes.

We broke up and got back together so many times that I don’t think our daughter ever noticed he was gone at all.  Each time we got back together was because he said something different from the previous breakup which made me think he was going to take things more seriously.  Shortly after, the promises were broken and I was too many weeks back into the relationship before I realized that he tricked me again.

During one of our many arguments years ago, I was accused of being a money hungry b*tch who probably would use child support payments to go get my hair done.  Fast forward to last week when he asked me to take him off of child support and he sang a different tune.  He praised me for doing a good job raising our daughter with little means and that he knows the money he is paying for child support goes for our daughter.

He knew what he was saying and I guess he thought that I was going to believe him like I did in the past.  I was insulted that he would think that I haven’t grown since our relationship ended but I’m over it now.  As I taught you in an earlier post, you have to teach people how to treat you.  In this case, I may have several teaching sessions to get my point across.

Love Yourself!
